Orientation Programme for 2013

Welcome to Ulster! We are delighted that you are choosing us for your studies!

Orientation programmes at the University of Ulster are designed to introduce you to other new students and to the systems and cultural life of the University. We think it is very important for you to have a good understanding of how the University works to ensure that you have a successful start to your time studying with us. We therefore strongly encourage you and all other new international students to attend and participate in the Orientation programme being offered on your campus.

To help you get to know us and the University we have arranged Orientation programmes on the Coleraine, Jordanstown and Magee campuses from Tuesday 10th to Friday 13th September. Students on the Belfast campus should attend the Orientation programme on the Jordanstown campus.

Orientation will include a meet and greet at both Belfast Airports for all international students arriving on Tuesday 10th September 2013, followed by a Welcome Dinner the same evening.

On Wednesday 11th September 2013 campus orientation will take place where you will get a chance to meet fellow students and receive information and support on how to make the most of your studies at Ulster with some time organised to shop locally for essentials.

On Thursday 12th September 2013, orientation will include an academic overview for all students followed by an organised trip within the local area to give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with your new surroundings.

Then on Friday 13th September 2013 we hope you will join us on our away day to the Antrim coast to give you the opportunity to meet all new international students across all campuses.

The Orientation Timetable will be available to view and download week commencing Monday 1st July 2013.

Please arrive on or before Tuesday 10th September 2013. If you intend to arrive at the weekend please let the Accommodation Office at your campus of study know your date and time of arrival.
