Santander Scholarships

Santander Scholarship 2013/14

The University of Ulster is pleased to launch the Santander Annual Scholarship Scheme. Five Scholarships are available to overseas and EU students to study full time at any of our campuses in Northern Ireland.

3 x £5,000 Open Scholarships - for a current overseas or EU student to study full time on any undergraduate or taught postgraduate course.

1 x £5,000 Ulster Undergraduate final year International Scholarship - for a current Ulster final year undergraduate student to study on any taught postgraduate course at Ulster.

1 x £5,000 Ulster/China Partnership Scholarship for a student from one of our Partner Chinese Institutions to study at Ulster in September 2013,

Eligibility

To be considered for any of these scholarships you must

  • hold a current unconditional offer to study at Ulster; and
    • be classed for fees purposes as either overseas or EU. The Scholarships are not available to students who are classed for fees purposes from Northern Ireland, Great Britain or the Republic of Ireland.
  • Ulster Undergraduate Final Year Scholarship entrants - students must be in their final year of undergraduate study at Ulster and hold an unconditional offer of study for a taught postgraduate course at Ulster.
  • Ulster/China Partnership Scholarship - students must be completing their studies at one of Ulster's Chinese partner institutions and hold an unconditional offer of study for an undergraduate Bachelors, taught postgraduate Masters or Pre-sessional course at Ulster.

The Scholarships are for one year of full time study in the academic year 2013-14 and cannot be deferred.

If you meet the eligibility criteria you may apply for more than one Scholarship.

Application Process

Download and complete the relevant application form. Completed applications should be returned to santander@ulster.ac.uk by Monday 8 July 2013.

How the Scholarship is Awarded

The Scholarship award will be put towards your tuition fees. If your tuition fees are less than the amount of the award then you will receive a cheque for the balance of the award. If you are paying full international (overseas) fees the Santander Scholarships will not cover all of your tuition fees and you will be need to pay the balance of your fees. The Scholarship does not cover living costs.
