Residential Services offer a range of accommodation options and you can find out more from their website.
The University does not have accommodation associated with its Belfast campus. Students studying at the Belfast campus have a number of options.Although the Belfast Campus is some six miles from Jordanstown, there are good rail, bus and taxi links between the two campuses, and students may apply in the normal way for accommodation at Jordanstown. Alternatively, SHAC has accommodation nearby, at Donegall street, and you could apply for accommodation there.
ColeraineThere is on-campus accommodation in our Student Village development. The accommodation is provided in a mixed mode of five and six bedroom apartments. Most rooms have en-suite facilities whilst the remainder contains a good ratio of shared bathroom facilities. The en-suite rooms have a specialized telecommunications network for internal communication and access to the internet. There are some specially designed suites available for students with special or mobility needs. There is also a range of leased accommodation in Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart, which the University allocates and manages in a similar way to its own accommodation, but which offer a greater degree of independent living.
On-campus accommodation is provided for over 700 students in halls of residence, five-bedroomed houses and apartments. All have shared self-catering facilities. A small number of mobility type flats are available for students with special needs. Approximately 220 purpose-designed apartments are also available close to the Jordanstown campus, at Whiteabbey, and these offer a greater degree of independence but are still convenient to the campus. All have telephone and internet connections.
There are over six hundred bedspaces on the Magee campus, a high proportion of which contain en-suite facilities. These bedspaces are configured in mostly six-bedroom flat design and have access to a telecommunications point via subscription to external provider. The remaining accommodation has a high ratio of shared facilities provided in traditional Halls of Residences style and five-bedroom apartments.
